Producing a podcast had always been a goal of mine, and when the Yellowstone National Park senior leadership team asked us to address ongoing challenges in recruiting and retaining talent, I knew this medium was the perfect fit.

We identified the complex federal hiring process as a major barrier for potential applicants and shaped the series around demystifying it. Each episode was designed to break through the jargon, explain the process in plain language, and offer practical steps for pursuing a career with the National Park Service (NPS). We also wanted to showcase the wide variety of NPS careers and highlight how fun and rewarding the work can be.

The 11-episode series launched on Apple Podcasts in March 2024. Within the first year, it had reached ## listeners, gained ## subscribers, and earned 53 five-star ratings.
